Looks like the MVNO's don't support tethering, so I may just go for the official Verizon prepaid sim card. It's expensive, though. :-S

That said.. It's not absolutely necessary for me to have an internet connection 24/7, so maybe I'll just stay with the Sprint arrangement I have now.

Interesting. Thanks!

I don't blame them. My parents live in the middle of nowhere, and the US is crazy big. Japan, though, that's just crazy talk. Actually, we're going to be switching to a DoCoMo MVNO (IIJmio) because it'll cut our monthly cellular bills by more than 3/4

My contract with SoftBank gives me unlimited free usage on Sprint, but that's no good because sprint has zero coverage where my parents' house is

Area I'm going to only has good Verizon coverage. :(

So, I'll be in the US for a few weeks. Is there some prepaid MVNO on Verizon that's good?

Lucky! Only time I was upgraded to business was on a 40 minute flight. Heh.

A desktop environment written in Rust or something like that would be pretty cool. , have any extra free time? ;)

What's the most stable desktop environment out thereā€¦ :-S

If you were using OS X, there's the "caffeinate" command you could use.
