@height8 I'll admit that I do that more often than I would like to admit for work work to meet deadlines, etc, but I'm much harder on myself when I'm doing open source / my own projects / external identity things, especially my blog.

@height8 The thing I give the most damns about is my own work because it's my own fucking work. :P

@height8 Well, I think I'm a relatively competent sysadmin, so that might have something to do with it…?

@height8 Meh. Honestly, my blog has been on WordPress for around 5 years and I've never had a problem with it. I've dabbled with those static site generator things, but when it comes to writing posts either in a browser or via an app on iOS, WordPress is what I'm most used to.

@height8 Just don't use any plugins and you should be fine!

Right?

… Right?

This version of PrivateLog I'll be releasing at the end of the month will be much more focused and have all the insight of running v1 privately for > a year

A good example was starting work on the iOS app before the main service was released. Since I was using it myself, I wanted the iOS app but it would have made much more business sense to focus on boring, more productive things like payment processing.

The PrivateLog I'm making now is actually a v2 -- the first one was really sidetracked by my tendency to procrastinate on things that I may or may not need. V2 is a huge rewrite and overhaul, focusing on the bare minimums

heh. Payment processing is my last "high priority" task so I'm determined to shoot that down before I find myself procrastinating with other tasks…

I'm just going to power through it with tons of caffeine and test cases. As long as the tests pass I should be fine, right? :)

How's your payment processing battle going?
