@phoneboy Basically, yeah. I'm just kind of annoyed that they didn't ask me for help or even some pointers on how to proceed instead of wading in to this big mess.
Anyways, I was only asked to do one thing, so I'm only going to do that one thing. ?
Oh boy. The more I look at this setup, the more it looks like it's been cobbled together by people who don't really know what they're doing. I can't believe I wasn't even consulted on this, because this is exactly my area of expertise -- servers on AWS. Now, the client is angry because an instance upgrade will result in downtime -- something I can do with zero downtime. Oh well.
@matigo The thing I'm most worried about is getting the account frozen without much recourse to right it. I suppose those incidents are not as common anymore, but it's still a risk. That said, there's risk in any payment processor platform.
@matigo I wonder if they're getting caught at the same level the Evernote hooks were getting caught at
