They insist on keeping their tech in the 90s, but AWS is still on the table..?

platform lock-in is my biggest concern, but GCE and Azure seem to be getting their lambda-like services up and running too. Worst case scenario, you can always run your lambda functions in any one of the hundreds of docker templates people have written to emulate a Lambda environment.

mmm, yum

yeah, it's pretty awesome. I'm using it to do really simple stuff like run some tasks on a schedule or perform a task in reaction to an event or alarm, but you could use it with a lot of stuff. the reason I'm using it is that it just doesn't make sense to have a full instance running the whole time when I only need to run something once a week or whatever.

doing well. some studying and also messing around with AWS Lambda.

nice! what kind of car are you looking for?

So, how's everyone's weekend?

sorry it's taking forever to get to you on that thing. I think I'll be able to get to it today, I'll send you a message here when it's done.

Ugh, finally done with paperwork for tomorrow. All the examples were assuming my wife wasn't making any money and was a dependent of me, so I had to kind of make things up along the way… hah… We'll see how much I got wrong tomorrow.

huh. no clue…
