I often wonder why developers do things like wrangle 5 different versions of Ruby and Node just because they like the language, Etc.

maybe you trust me, and that's awesome, but it's going to take time to earn the trust of lots of people so I can devote more time to it. This year will be exciting!

don't worry, I've only been referring to it in vague terms because it isn't done yet haha

right now I'm thinking $40/year or $4/month. Covers up to 15 users. It's a private photo sharing service.

want to buy a 100 year subscription to my new service? That'll be paying up front. :P

maybe you should find a better word than "reblurb" :P

well, like I said, it only needs 15 subscriptions to break even on operational costs and I'm willing to pay for it just for my personal use. I just want to see how well it does "out there" :)

It is, yes. Hopefully I can the existing data migrated over and release this to my ad-hoc testing group (euphemism for "my family") in the next month or so. The plan is to release & announce it to the public by the end of March.

I'll probably have an optional password feature for people who want the extra security, but I want this to be as simple as possible when I get it out the door, so that will be later :)
