I often wonder why developers do things like wrangle 5 different versions of Ruby and Node just because they like the language, Etc.
@streakmachine maybe you trust me, and that's awesome, but it's going to take time to earn the trust of lots of people so I can devote more time to it. This year will be exciting!
@streakmachine don't worry, I've only been referring to it in vague terms because it isn't done yet haha
@streakmachine right now I'm thinking $40/year or $4/month. Covers up to 15 users. It's a private photo sharing service.
@streakmachine want to buy a 100 year subscription to my new service? That'll be paying up front. :P
@matigo well, like I said, it only needs 15 subscriptions to break even on operational costs and I'm willing to pay for it just for my personal use. I just want to see how well it does "out there" :)
@matigo It is, yes. Hopefully I can the existing data migrated over and release this to my ad-hoc testing group (euphemism for "my family") in the next month or so. The plan is to release & announce it to the public by the end of March.
@matigo I'll probably have an optional password feature for people who want the extra security, but I want this to be as simple as possible when I get it out the door, so that will be later :)
